“Made in Japan” can bring to mind many things, but for me, it’s synonymous with exquisite artistry.

Ballet holds a special place in my memory, as I had the incredible opportunity to design costumes for the New York City Ballet’s Fall Gala in 2015.

ADEAM ICHI is inspired by the aesthetics of another subgenre of rock music that defined my teen years: grunge.

Matsuri, Japanese summer festival, became the perfect inspiration for Spring & Summer 2023.

For the second ADEAM ICHI collection, designer Hanako Maeda looked to skateboarding culture for inspiration.

For Fall 2022, Hanako merges her childhood memories and ideas from Fall 2013 to create a special collection that combines dark academia and fairy tale aesthetics.
