New Longchamp’s Collection of Flat Sandals Captures Energy of Summer

For reasons that are all too familiar, we’ll be looking forward to Summer 2021 as we’ve never looked forward to a summer before. And Longchamp’s new-season collection, which features a gorgeous array of flat sandals, will only add to the anticipation.
Where better to start than with House icon Le Pliage®, whose cult codes have been transformed into the first of the collection’s fabulous flats. A “flap” in butter-soft métis leather, complete with a signature snap fastener and embossed racehorse logo, rests on the top of the foot on this toe-post style. Like the bag, the Le Pliage® sandal comes in a palette of paint-box shades: sun-baked sienna, bold red and pastel pink, alongside timeless black.
Another instantly identifiable Longchamp signature – the bamboo toggle – accessorises the Roseau sandal, a toe-post style with a triangle-cut upper in crocodile-like calfskin leather. The bright, silver-tone finish of the toggle combines with the dazzling shades of the leather – sapphire blue, pale jade, deep burgundy and intense black – to transform the Roseau into an authentic jewel for feet.
Urban elegance is the watchword of Cavalcade, whose sophisticated, minimalist design – a triangle-cut upper complemented by a slender, buckled strap – is perfect for summer in the city. Crafted from chic black lambskin, it will transition seamlessly from day to night.
Last but by no means least, no summer would be complete without an espadrille, that staple of French-girl style. Longchamp’s take, named Filet, is utterly desirable: delicately crisscrossing, lace-thin straps in black or orange métis leather on an authentic rope base, but with a full rubber outsole for enhanced comfort and wear.
