Maison Kitsuné Presents Its New Collaboration With And Wander: Le Chalet

For Autumn/Winter 2023, Maison Kitsuné presents a new collaboration with Japanese activewear brand and wander: a collection which unites Maison Kitsune’s Parisian spirit and idiosyncratic irreverence with and wander’s devotion to exploring the great outdoors. Drawing upon the spirit of Le Chalet – an imagined collective of friends and family who are escaping the city to spend a weekend sequestered on a snowy mountaintop – the collaboration collages the codes of the two brands to create the perfect winter wardrobe.
Paying homage to the aesthetic tropes of ski slope uniforms and eighties sportswear, Le Chalet refracts nostalgia through a modern, playful perspective. Contemporary cuts – gently oversized or padded proportions – imbue the collection with a fresh ease, while Maison Kitsuné’s graphics offer a new take on holiday knitwear. And wander’s distinct functionality is applied to the spirit of a snow day: a hooded insulation jacket has been created to withstand a glacial wind while seeking supplies outside of the chalet, while a fox-checkered fleece is created cosy enough to curl up fireside; a printed tote is designed to suit all scenarios, while key knitted accessories can be incorporated within any outfit.
This is the spirit of the season: a form-meets-function collection created for fun with friends, whether that’s found playing on the mountaintops or spending time in the city.
