Alaïa Unveils Its New Boutique At 139 New Bond Street
Luxferity, 10.09.2024
Reconceived under the creative direction of Pieter Mulier, Alaïa’s boutique at 139 New Bond Street unveils a new intimate space where the latest creations of the House blend with a unique selection of artworks and design pieces.

The new ground floor recreates the curves and the lines inspired by the repertoire of the House with central stair that divides and illuminates the space. At the entrance, a giant wood counter reveals the latest accessories and the new essentials of the House. A glass showcase cabinet designed by Axel Einar Hjorth unveils an exceptional couture piece, the quintessence of the Alaïa savoir-faire that immediately catches the eye.
On the first floor, a sofa and four armchairs by René Drouot offer an intimate and cosy space. Like a privileged enclave to give rise to the encounter between bodies and clothes. Against the wall, plexiglass boxes reveal, under a neat light, the new emblematic Alaïa shoes.

On the second floor, a kitchen, inspired by the pure lines and materials of industrial design will open its doors at the end of March. A place devoted to exchanges, encounters and discoveries that recreates Alaïa’s warm conviviality and singular family atmosphere that have shaped the House’s history.
New iconic design pieces have been added to Marc Newson’s Pelota lamps and the concrete floor: chairs by Gerrit Rietveld, Gio Ponti and Franco Albini, stools by Philippe Starck and tables by Shiro Kuramata.

To celebrate Alaïa’s unique bond with art and design, Pieter Mulier has curated a selection of works by some of his favourite artists: a painting by Sterling Ruby, a large collage painting by Steven Shearer, three portraits by Thomas Ruff and a picture by Sarah Lucas.
A unique way to combine Pieter Mulier’s visions with Alaïa’s refined codes. And to recreate an intimate space dedicated to beauty.
