Zimmermann Presents Its New Spring 2026 Collection: Kindred Spirit
Luxferity, 29.10.2025

At Le Carreau du Temple in Paris, Zimmermann unveiled its Spring 26 Ready-to-Wear Collection, Kindred Spirit— a radiant exploration of artistic liberation and creative kinship. Inspired by the collaborative art communities of 1970s Lavender Bay, Creative Director Nicky Zimmermann pays homage to the shared spirit of freedom that defined that era’s most inspired collectives.

“This season’s Kindred Spirit collection is an ode to the collaborative artistic spirit of the 70s and chosen creative families the world over,” shares Nicky Zimmermann. “They inspired each other to boldly express themselves — and had a lot of fun along the way.”

Gold Crochet Dress

An Ode to Collective Creativity
Rooted in the Australian bohemian movement of the 70s, the collection channels a sense of unity and self-expressionthat transcends generations. Each look becomes a canvas of individual style — fluid, joyful, and powerfully free.

Absinthe Green Crochet Dress

Silhouettes burst with exuberance and movement, exploring a world of psychedelic florals, tie-dye motifs, and offbeat colour pairings. From vivid organza gowns to structured cotton drill separates, Zimmermann captures the playful duality between craftsmanship and spontaneity.

Signature Zimmermann Craftsmanship Reimagined
The Spring 26 collection continues Zimmermann’s legacy of artisanal mastery. The brand introduces a new textural innovation, super-fluff — a voluminous composition of layered organza, cut on the bias and ruched into cloud-like formations.

Billowing sleeves bloom into sculptural silhouettes; strapless peplum tops float with ethereal ease, and flared trousersrecall the liberating forms of 70s tailoring. A new dialogue unfolds between Sydney’s fluid femininity and Paris’s refined suiting aesthetic, reflecting Zimmermann’s global design DNA.

Vibrant Colour & Art-Inspired Textures
Colour defines Kindred Spirit. A palette of lilac, peach, mustard, and tan anchors the collection in vintage nostalgia, while warped floral graphics and trance-like prints push boundaries into contemporary art. Painter’s overalls in cotton twill and tan leather contrast with acid tie-dye gowns, evoking a mood of creative nonchalance.

Macramé Midi Sleeveless Dress

Lace emerges in unexpected hues, its traditional delicacy reinvented with playful vibrancy. Even denim — a Zimmermann staple — transforms into directional day-to-evening pieces, intricately embroidered with bird motifs and asymmetric cut-outs, symbolic of freedom and movement.

Pleated Knit Long Dress

Accessories: 70s Nostalgia, Modern Luxury
Accessories amplify Zimmermann’s “more-is-more” elegance. Wooden platform sandals, knotted raffia slides, and drawstring leather patchwork bags echo the carefree eclecticism of the 70s artist.
Statement jewellery draws from native Australian flora and fauna — golden koala pendants, floral cuffs, and sculptural earrings — grounding the collection in its antipodean roots. Fierce shield sunglasses introduce a sharp contrast, balancing softness with attitude.

A Poetic Parisian Moment
The runway’s atmosphere was heightened by a collaboration with Lana Del Rey, whose recitation of “What Happened When I Left You” from Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass underscored the emotional depth of the show. Composer Mimi Xu’s original score intertwined the spoken word with Zimmermann’s vision, weaving poetry into motion — a perfect embodiment of Kindred Spirit.

Freedom, Connection, and the Art of Joy
Zimmermann’s Spring 26 Kindred Spirit is more than a fashion collection — it’s a manifesto of creative unity and liberation. Through texture, volume, and radiant colour, it celebrates the ties that bind artistic souls across eras and continents.
