Graff Celebrated 65 Years Of Diamond Excellence
In September 2025, Graff celebrated 65 years of diamond excellence, tracing a journey that began in 1960 under its founder, Laurence Graff OBE. From his modest apprenticeship in London’s Hatton Garden to establishing a globally revered high‑jewellery maison, Graff turned his passion for rare gemstones into a legacy of luxury and innovation.

The festivities kicked off in Shanghai, where the House presented a landmark exhibition that marked the first stop of its global anniversary tour. The exhibition was anchored by the breathtaking Graff Infinity Tiara, featuring the 157.80‑carat Infinity Diamond — a D‑colour heart-shaped marvel, one of the largest of its kind, carved from a 373‑carat rough discovered in Botswana’s Karowe mine. Astonishingly, the rough’s outline mirrored that of the historic 1,109‑carat Lesedi La Rona, which Graff had acquired in 2017 and later cut and polished into the celebrated Graff Lesedi La Rona, then the largest, highest‑colour, highest‑clarity emerald-cut diamond certified by GIA.

The exhibition charted Graff’s heritage and craftsmanship with a rich display of previously unseen archival photographs, historic documents, and a curated timeline of legendary diamonds — from the 47.39‑carat Star of Bombay to the ethereal 31.06‑carat Wittelsbach-Graff. These stones reflected Graff’s uncanny “sixth sense” for unearthing brilliance, elevating rough gemstones into globally significant works of high jewellery.
