The Maison, symbol of sophisticated Milanese elegance, has completely reworked its space in via del Babuino 71 and is now ready to welcome customers again starting from 25th of May.

"With this reopening we wanted to emphasize the importance of the Italian heritage of the Maison and share Serapian’s great creativity with the public and the subtle charm of discreet Milanese elegance that has always distinguished it", explains the CEO, Giacomo Cortesi.

The ML Architecture studio collaborated with Serapian to create a perfect trait d'union between the elegant luxury of the Maison and the wonderful frescoes decorating the 60 square meter ceilings on the ground floor of the boutique. Since 2013, its display window has overlooked one of the most important and renown shopping streets in the world.

The Maria Teresa yellow, emblematic of the facades of the many historic buildings in the capital of Lombardy, blends perfectly with the marble floors and brass finishing, reflecting and emphasizing the Milanese character of the Maison.

Also arriving in Rome is the vast assortment of over 54 different shades of nappa leather which are available to customize the iconic Mosaico craft and can be viewed in the Bespoke Lounge of Villa Mozart in Milan, the Maison's headquarters. In the boutique, part of the wall exhibits the colorful Mosaico Wall, a kaleidoscopic installation of hundreds leather pieces. In the adjoining Bespoke Lounge clients can enjoy an unparalleled experience of absolute customization.

Another treasure found in the Bespoke Lounge are the Catilina chairs with custom handcrafted cushions made from the Mosaico, the result of a collaboration with Azucena: the pinnacle of Milanese design and architecture, founded in 1947 by architects Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Ignazio Gardella and Corrado Corradi Dell’Acqua.

The Milanese duo of creative designers Cameranesi Pompili were entrusted with the task of creating hybrid structures-sculptures with the dual function of enhancing the display and bringing an added artistic touch to the boutique, together with the splendid ceramic art pieces made by Milesi, another Milanese company belonging to the brothers Egidio and Cesare Milesi.
