Montblanc Presents Its New Extreme 3.0 Collection

Montblanc revisits its signature collection for active and fastpaced lifestyles with new formats and an original leather design inspired by the company’s groundbreaking marketing visuals from the early 20^th century.

Urban exploration, work adventures or escapes to unknown places, the Montblanc Extreme collection was conceived to withstand the demands of everyday travel by pushing the boundaries of technical innovation to achieve new heights of durability and performance, always balancing functionality with distinctively sleek, contemporary style.

Montblanc’s signature leather collection returns in the Summer of 2022 with an elevated look featuring a brand-new texture, on a selection of new trendy, functional shapes. The leather motif draws inspiration from the graphic images created by Grete Gross, Montblanc’s Head of Advertising who deeply influenced Montblanc’s visual language in the 1920’s. The rational, geometrical and pragmatic visuals were highly influenced by the Bauhaus style of the time. Mindful of the environment, the Montblanc Extreme 3.0 collection uses leather obtained from a CO2 neutral tanning process and lining made from recycled fibres.

It was time to reimagine the collection’s distinctive pattern by diving into the Maison’s exceptional archive. In its latest evolution, the Montblanc Extreme motif has been enlarged on two different scales - a bigger treatment for bags and a smaller one for small accessories. The selection of leather pieces is available in signature Montblanc Black and an eye-catching British Green, paired with metal fittings in black. The iconic Montblanc emblem has been enlarged for the collection in two different sizes. Three bags and a belt in the collection feature an original closure inspired by the climbing world with a bold black finish. The M LOCK 4810 closure features a special mechanism that acts quickly and effectively in contact with anchor points, designed for a complete and safe closure, but equally an easy opening when needed.

The Montblanc Extreme 3.0 collection is made up of a selection of different shapes, sizes and functions designed to fit the lifestyles of those for whom every day is not about routine, but about adventure, whether at work or at play. The dynamic assortment in black includes:

• Large Leather Goods:

A Large Backpack with 3 compartments, a Medium Backpack with 3 compartments and a Backpack with the M LOCK 4810 closure, each one for safely carrying and protecting laptop and other personal items.

A thin Document Case is a stylish companion for business meetings, while the Tote is a more relaxed, casual bag. The Duffle with the M LOCK 4810 closure is a versatile companion for short escapes or a trip to the gym.

• Medium Leather Goods:

A Chest Bag and Sling Bag with zipped compartments (black or green) can be worn crossbody.

The Laptop Case and Pouch (black or green) are designed to protect and store laptops or tablets.

The Envelope with a M LOCK 4810 closure and Mini Envelope (black or green) are trendy lightweight pieces.

• Small leather goods and accessories:

A Compact Wallet (black or green), Card Holder for 8 credit cards with Zip, Card Holder for 6 credit cards and Card Holder with Zip (black or green), Card holder 3cc with pocket, Key Pouch with 4 credit card storage, a Mini Pouch with 8 credit cards storage, Wallet with pocket for wireless earpieces, a Key Fob and Smartphone Pouch all feature a hook that allows them to be attached to larger bags.

Additionally, the Montblanc Extreme 3.0 collection includes a selection of belts with a plate buckle, the sporty M LOCK 4810 closure in place of a regular buckle, a roll or a rectangular PVD Buckle.

With its leather treatment and smart functional shapes, the Montblanc Extreme 3.0 collection is built to withstand the many twists and turns of daily adventures.
