The Maison KARL LAGERFELD presents its Spring-Summer 2024 menswear collection. Across ready-to-wear, warm weather materials play a key role in lightweight suiting, knits and linen blends, while accessories are embellished with color-block pops and tonal logos.
Filled with wardrobe staples, the collection boasts lightweight suiting with seasonal iterations of the KL monogram, geometric patterns and sleek silhouettes. All-over prints appear on polo shirts and graphic tees, further brightened by electric blue, summer yellow and tangerine orange. In outerwear, a hero piece is a reversible bomber jacket with a high-density artwork on the chest pocket and a monochromatic black interior.
High summer sees new techniques and updates to Ikonik graphics, appearing on the fronts and backs of jersey, jeanswear and woven garments. Denim sets are embellished with seasonal all-over prints, while off-duty style is further elevated with color-blocked trims and details. For sunny days that transition to long nights, linen blends and warm weather knits are the height of sartorial summer dressing.
Accessories will elevate any outfit as textures and prints combine with functionality. Crafted from durable coated canvas, the K/MONOGRAM KLASSIK SPECIAL range includes a backpack, north-south crossbody and bumbag, each with an all-over monogram print and pop color stripes on the front. The K/ESSENTIAL range is made from quality leather and embellished with a black-on-black tonal logo. Offering roomy versatility, the K/KASE and K/PASS groups are updated in seasonal colorways, while the latter is also fabricated from recycled materials. As always, the collection features the beloved RUE ST-GUILLAUME logo range and the K/KARL range with a tonal, allover print. This colorful, creative and confident collection embodies the playful warmth of long sunny days.
KARL LAGERFELD X DARCEL DISAPPOINTS
For the Spring-Summer 2024 season, KARL LAGERFELD introduces a one-off capsule collection with Darcel Disappoints, the New York-based fictional cyclops character created by Craig Redman, a graphic artist, designer and illustrator based in Brooklyn.
The men’s and women’s capsule features the iconic Darcel character now reimagined as Karl Lagerfeld and Choupette. Key pieces include a woven bomber jacket and jersey essentials for lounging such as an oversized hoodie, sweatshirts, sweatshorts, tees and sweatpants. An accessory highlight is a statement bag that’s crafted as a 3D cyclops head. The ready-to-wear and accessories are complemented by a limited-edition figurine of the Karl cyclops, made through 3D modelling — an undeniable collectible of the collaboration.
