8 talents of different nationalities interpret the bandana print to explore new creative crossovers connecting fashion, art and street culture.
ETRO kicks off 2022 with the project “Forever Pirates, The Upstream Generation”, a new multi-voice collaboration in which 8 talents from Europe, Asia and the United States have been invited to interpret the bandana print with their artistic vision.
They are Kean Etro’s contemporary “pirates”: nonconformist thinkers, free spirits, poets of the now, eclectics, visionaries and artists who break the rules of the game, think outside the box and move beyond conventions to deliver a new and personal perspective of the bandana, one of ETRO’s most iconic motifs.
The new generation of content creators interprets the brand's style by forming a digital artistic collective that explores the inspiring connections between fashion design, painting, music, visual art and street culture, spanning across different disciplines and international cities from Berlin to LA, from Milan to Tokyo.
ETRO’s “Forever Pirates” are Japanese artist Daisuke, Italian visual artist Weel Lee, German digital artist and painter Mago, American artist Kate Ahn, the Italian shoemaker Clessio, Japanese parkour athlete Zen Shimada, Italian visual artist Andrea Crespi and American multi-hyphenate creative Shane Gonzales.
In the new digital campaign, the creators wear ETRO bandana print styles to introduce a series of exclusive artworks inspired by the brand’s positive and vibrant universe. A universe where dialogue, color, spontaneity, energy and freedom of expression have always accompanied ETRO's new bohemians in the discovery of new languages and new ways of communicating their creativity in an endless journey of shared imagination.
The new artworks by ETRO's guest creators are visible starting from 4 January on the brand's social media and on the Instagram profiles of each artist.
