McQueen Presents Its New Spring Summer 2025 Collection
Luxferity, 30.09.2024
‘The banshee is rooted in the history of McQueen, but it’s also a story that I grew up with, so feels deeply personal to me — something I remember my mother talking about in Ireland, describing the cry of this solitary, foreboding figure. For me, she has come to represent something real and potent now. The idea of someone who is feeling and forthright; someone who can be seen as a guiding force.’ — Seán McGirr, Creative Director
Silver Pearl Moneta Clip-on Earrings
COLLECTION:
Sharp, twisted tailoring subverts the traditions of British suiting — a definitive silhouette, marked with the distinctive T-Bar.
Sharpness is suffused with light. Translucent white silk chiffon, hand-washed and manipulated into sunray pleats. Silk creponne, gossamer and gathered — sliced through wool gabardine.
Silk chiffon and organza is washed, shredded, massaged. Intricate cobweb lace hand-stitched, enmeshed in fine brushed silk; the illusion of coming undone.
Tailoring is twisted, as if clutched closed. The shoulder pinched and raised — a streetwise posture. Forward-reaching, propelled by the momentum of the city.
Shirting traditions rooted in Jermyn Street are rearticulated. Compact cotton poplin rendered in cursive collars, finished to a fine point. Heritage checks subverting scale. Crisp, cool wool mohair with a subtle sheen woven in British mills.
A palette of ivory, silvered grey and jet black. Punctuated with crepuscular hues — blazing yellow and orange.
Trailing organza, teased into tendrils with the banshee’s comb. Layered georgette frayed and distressed, embroidered with fine silver bullion — lightness anchored by chain embroideries, hand-stitched, tracing the body’s contours.
A figure fortified; stood tall.

SHOW SPACE:
Featuring an installation by Tom Scutt. An evocation of liminal spaces, rooted in tensions and dualities — classicism and modernity, moving between dusk and dawn in the city.
