Loro Piana Presents Its New Spring/Summer 2025 Men’s Collection
Luxferity, 24.09.2024
The Loro Piana Spring/Summer 2025 Men’s Collection marks a new chapter in the celebration of 100 years of history and heritage, revolving around linen: the Maison’s quintessential summer fabric, synonymous with ease, lightness, effortlessness. It is linen interpreted in the Loro Piana way, through a distinctive savoir-faire and a personal sense of elegance: blended with heirloom fibres such as Cashmere, Silk, and Sopra Visso, declined in effortless shapes with details that owe much to the unique style of Sergio and Pier Luigi Loro Piana. With the 150 years old legacy and rich archives of textiles of Solbiati, a renowned linen company acquired by the Maison over ten years ago, fabric remains the start of the Loro Piana journey in shaping a vision that is both timeless and contemporary, and in which touch and texture are as important as the way clothes dialogue with the body and with life.

The collection presents an interpretation of linen, with textures and forms getting lighter and lighter as spring progresses into summer, moulding from the tactile intensity of Linen Tweed to the technical innovation of Linen Storm, from the environmental richness of lotus flower to the suppleness of Linen Flower. Softness, in texture as well as construction, is the core value that defines the Loro Piana take on menswear, condensed in items that move naturally on and around the body, suggesting ease, enticing a conjunction with the environment. Unstructured blazers, the iconic Spagna jacket in a light brown hue and fluid shirt jackets as well as suede bombers and knitted blazers are meant to bring a sense of properness to an informality of use. Coats are long and roomy, drawing a tall silhouette. The out-in-the nature spirit that is so intrinsic to the Loro Piana man is captured in the nautical-feel red anoraks and in the iconic Horsey® jacket in brown. Tailoring is soft, and worked in subtraction, with collarless jackets and shirts matching suits in colour. Blazers are worn with roomy bermuda shorts, while denim in various weights is cut into workwear-inspired jackets and trousers, chambray shirts. An exotic tingle can be felt in the elongated silk shirts.

Lace-ups, babouches and sandals ground the looks. The oversized Bale bag in leather, in a hobo version, and the hold-all weekender version of the Loom, the signature bag with a covered bar on the flap that recalls the drape of fabric across the bar of a loom, are the key bags, offered this season in linen and leather iterations, suggest on-the-move practicality.
