Wonderful tactility and a quiet flow are the essence of Loro Piana. The Fall/Winter 2024-2025 Collection honors 100 years of the Maison’s history and heritage through a far-roaming and extraordinary journey across fibres, fabrics, and shapes that commend the unique know-how, the technical expertise, but also the very personal take on elegance of Sergio and Pier Luigi Loro Piana, that are founding and enduring values. With the “fiori di cardo”, thistle flower, symbol at its heart - the thistle used historically by Loro Piana to raise and brush cashmere in its factory, found in the historical coat of arms since 1951 - the Collection explores the worlds of iconic yet ruggedly classic Cheviot, Cashmere, the rarity of Baby Cashmere, and the nobility of Vicuña: fibers and fabrics that are unique in their nature and in the way they are woven into cloth. The naturally dark Pecora Nera®, exclusively sourced in New Zealand, magnificently lustrous and elastic, and the pleasantly rustic and resilient Sopra Visso wool, sourced on the Sibillini Mountains of Italy, are rediscovered and brought back.

The Collection blends an outdoorsy, slightly mannish spirit, as seen in the Pecora Nera® Spagna jackets, trench coats, anoraks and blousons, with a new affirmation of femininity, characteristic of the liquid silk jackets, the silk coats, the satin skirts and a taste for the perfectly put together. A Loro Piana take on ladylike materializes for the first time in the petite jackets and blazers embellished with the delicate cardo flower, matched with to-the-knee skirts, while the flowing grace of long pleated skirts, knit and printed silk dresses is reaffirmed as a signature, alongside jacquard dresses.

Eveningwear has Loro Piana’s quintessential sense of efficiency and ease in the enduring play-off of masculine and feminine. The elongated after dark silhouettes comprise mannish tuxedos, band collar jackets and blazers with embroidered lapels and then long or to the knee skirts, slender trousers, jacquard shirts, and an exceptional all-over sequin dress in silk georgette. Hats add tone to the whole message, either in pillbox, neat shapes or in soft-brimmed versions.

Colours and matter blend into a rich amalgamation of textures and hues that comprise Cashmeres, Baby Cashmeres, Cash Tweeds, silks, silk and CashDenim®, in creamy notes of soft butter, nougat, natural light camel, dusty khaki, dense hues of tundra - the Loro Piana neutral -, mossy brown, tawny bark mélange, deep burgundy and eclypse blue, and touches of natural dark Vicuña, alongside flannel and mélange greys and pale accents of Langhe green. At night, silk satin, jacquard silk and cashmere are presented exclusively in classic notes of black or white.

Leather goods see the launch of the Ghiera shopper, with a signature leather grid and closure to modulate the volume, and the addition of a new, small size of the Loom bag, the double handle tote so named for the covered bar on the flap which recalls the drape of fabric across the bar of a loom. Loom also comes in new materials such as cashmere and zibeline leather, an intricately printed calf with unique texture. The Extra Bag is offered, as usual, in a wide array of leathers and colours.
