Diane Von Furstenberg Hosts The 16th Annual DVF Awards In Venice
Luxferity, 26.08.2025
On August 28, 2025, the world of luxury, philanthropy, and high society will converge at the historic Teatro Carlo Goldoni during the 82nd International Venice Film Festival as Diane von Furstenberg hosts the prestigious 16th Annual DVF Awards.
Founded in 2010 by Diane von Furstenberg and the Diller–von Furstenberg Family Foundation, the DVF Awards have become a defining moment on the global cultural calendar, honoring extraordinary women whose courage, resilience, and leadership inspire change across continents.
A Celebration of Women Leaders
This year’s honorees embody the Awards’ mission of empowerment and global impact:
- Hanin Ahmed – Sudanese activist and Emergency Response Room leader.
- Christy Turlington Burns – Founder & President of Every Mother Counts, advancing maternal health worldwide.
- Fany Kuiru Castro – General Coordinator of COICA, defending Indigenous and environmental rights.
- Kim Kardashian – Entrepreneur, philanthropist, and advocate for criminal justice reform.
- Giulia Minoli – President of Una Nessuna Centomila and activist against gender-based violence.
“In these chaotic times, it is more important than ever that this year’s honorees are incredible women who have had the courage to fight, the strength to survive, and the leadership to inspire,” says von Furstenberg. “I am thrilled to celebrate them in Venice, a city that I love and is herself an extraordinary woman.”
Presenters & Global Luminaries
The evening will be elevated by distinguished presenters including Tina Brown, Grace Burns, Pierfrancesco Favino, Giulia Foscari, and Chris Young, further solidifying the event as a nexus of culture, fashion, and philanthropy. Guests will also witness a powerful performance by Iranian dancer-choreographer Sahar Dehghan, adding a moment of artistry to the ceremony.
Luxury, Legacy & Venice Grandeur
Over the past 15 years, the DVF Awards have supported women leaders from over 30 countries, offering crucial grants that advance work in climate change, immigration reform, anti-trafficking, gender equality, and the fight against violence towards women. Backed this year by Bloomberg Philanthropies, the 2025 ceremony continues its legacy of uniting luxury, purpose, and global influence.
Set against the romantic backdrop of Venice, the DVF Awards Gala epitomizes modern luxury—where timeless fashion, cultural icons, and human empowerment intersect under the gilded ceilings of the Goldoni Theatre.
