Versace Home At Salone Del Mobile And Milano Design Week
Luxferity, 21.04.2023
Versace Home takes centre stage at Salone del Mobile and Milano Design Week with the new collection of furniture and accessories. Created with Luxury Living Group, it is designed under the creative direction of Donatella Versace by contemporary architects Roberto Palomba and Ludovica Serafini from ps+a studio.
The 500 sq m exhibition area at Salone del Mobile fair has been conceived as a total black box, with a light reflecting ceiling and backlit silk crepe panels to create a theatre-like architectural space. Several modular exhibition stands combine to showcase the Versace Home collection, including a stand devoted to new 2023 product lines.
The Zensational modular sofa, one of the main items of the new collection, draws on its name from its relaxing design which references Versace’s inspirations within Classicism and mythology.
Modules are designed as streamlined geometric shapes with playful hints to the past. A Tangram of shapes, patterns and materials combined with the decorative panels of the Fashion House form astonishing arrangements. Crocodile-embossed leather is in-keeping with the Versace Fall-Winter 2023 collection, and mixes with Baroque prints and jacquard patterns.
The Discovery sofa features a contemporary herringbone pattern, available in fabric or leather. The Versace V is visually referenced. Cushions serve both as backrests and as comfortable cushions. The couch version also turns into a modern chaise-longue.
The Discovery table, characterised by a sinuous leg covered in leather, is decorated with a gilt ring around the base and further enriched by a gilt Medusa. It is available in a wide range of colors, from white high gloss to matte red, and with a wood, lacquered wood or marble finish.
The Discovery chair forms part of the Stiletto collection, but with a more essential design and sturdier legs. It blends a comfortable backrest with a minimalist seat cushion.
Along with the 2023 all-new collection, Versace Home introduces a range of extensions of some of its best-selling pieces of furniture. La Greca line is one of them, featuring as the star of a large exhibition stand, and of the flagship boutique on via Durini. A large armchair is a new addition with deep cushion seat and a revolving base.
Stiletto now extends to include a table, with new top covered in leather, a tapered stool and the bergère armchair paired with a footrest. The tapering and contemporary design enhances the dynamic shape of this armchair. The large and tall mermaid tail shaped backrest tapers down into the feet, recalling the House’s iconic stiletto heel.
Other collections on display are the Signature, Goddess, and the La Medusa bed now available in fabric, in addition to the leather version.
Light fixtures include the new Goddess LED table lamps that embrace a contemporary use of home living spaces, and the Versace Galaxy chandelier, decorated with a profusion of hanging clear, opalescent and gilt spheres enriched with the Versace logo.
