Tiffany & Co. Names French Actress Camille Cottin As Its Newest Ambassador

Tiffany & Co. welcomes French actress Camille Cottin as its newest House ambassador.

Tiffany & Co.’s partnership with Cottin, who is celebrated for her exceptional acting talent, exquisite taste and innate wit, further builds on the House’s long-running connection to France. Since its foundation in 1837, the New York-based jeweller has incorporated French savoir-faire into its design codes. Jean Schlumberger, who created some of Tiffany & Co.’s most iconic pieces during his decades-long tenure as the House’s Creative Director, brought elements of his French culture to his celebrated designs.

“Tiffany & Co. is synonymous with exceptional, visionary designs, and is timeless thanks to its constant drive to innovate and embrace modernity,” said Camille Cottin. “From Tiffany & Co. there are pieces that accompany me in my everyday: delicate and light, they bring a touch of luminosity. Then there are more extravagant pieces, which are perfect for parties, these are the ones I’m excited to wear because they create that feeling of an enchanted evening. And then there are the pieces that tell a story, that have history and share messages of love, recall memories or are symbolic of a promise.” Telling stories is Camille Cottin’s forte. Starring in both film productions, including Thomas McCarthy’s Stillwater and Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci, and small-screen hits such as Call My Agent and Killing Eve, her international presence has grown exponentially in recent years. Her quintessentially French taste has also caught the eye of the fashion community.

“I first wore Tiffany & Co. jewellery to the Met Gala. I chose Flame Ear Clips from the Schlumberger collection. It’s a powerful and modern piece that is at once elegant, precise, shimmering and feminine,”Camille Cottin recalled.

From Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor to Beyoncé and Jay Z, Tiffany & Co.’s ambassadors have always captured the mood of the moment in way that is current and meaningful, while also sharing messages that are as timeless as the House’s exceptional pieces.

In a recent video for Tiffany & Co., Camille Cottin embodied today’s self-sufficient approach to femininity. The trompe-l’oeil clip saw the independent, determined and witty actress pluck a Schlumberger-designed Sixteen Stone Ring from the façade of Paris’s Opéra Garnier. The tongue-in-cheek clip was a full-circle moment for the House, which opened its first overseas store in Paris’s Opéra neighbourhood in 1910. Today, Tiffany & Co.’s Paris flagship is located on the majestic rue de la Paix.
