Sandro Presents Its New Women Spring Summer 2022 Collection

For the Spring / Summer ‘22 season, the Sandro creative studio wanted to tell a story about the Mediterranean coast, in all its richness and liberty. With a dreamy spirit and a free heart, the Sandro woman longs for escape and sunshine. On her summer wishlist: dancing, sunbathing and travelling. Simply in a word, live.

From the city, she brings only the essentials. A three-piece tennis-striped suit packed in her suitcase will be worn as a mix & match look, that only she knows how to put together. With a baseball t-shirt or draped over a crochet outfit. This is what makes the Sandro woman so special: she knows how to mix codes. She boldly mixes volumes, prints and overlays. This intimate desire to set sail and have fun with her wardrobe can be seen on a multitude of pieces. On silky pieces, we recognize marine symbols, that look painted in watercolors. Good luck charms or holiday souvenirs? Anchors, ropes and starfish are freely associated with knitted jumpers or bourgeois tweed jackets.

Alongside signature urban pieces that are the essence of Sandro, the Parisian design studio imagines a stopover on the Amalfi coast. The tailoring is inherited from Italian chic and reinterpreted in bright colors: bubble-gum pink, clementine orange, turquoise blue, grass green or purple. When the volumes are modern, the look is twisted with memories from the 70s: peace & love, florals and tie dye, and many more signs that it’s time to party. Vintage prints in vitaminized colors are reminiscent of the citrus fruit stands of a Ravello greengrocer. This art of layering recalls the ‘90s, where authenticity and creativity made for a cool look. Her crochet ensembles and other handcrafted pieces look like they have been freshly bargained from the flea market. She wears them with oversized jackets and shirts. More sensual than ever, the Sandro woman dares to wear bare backs, plays with body-hugging tops and sexy dresses with swimsuit-inspired details. In other words, she embraces her femininity.
