Just Cavalli: Brand New Women’s And Men’s Fall/Winter 2022 Collection

For the Fall/Winter 2022 season, Just Cavalli brings to life a glamorous and carefree aesthetic recalling an early 2000 atmosphere.

An imaginary party on a private jet connecting New York and Paris becomes the starting point for the creation of a wardrobe where Just Cavalli’s free, fun and bold spirit is updated with a sparkling and immediate contemporary touch.

In the women's collection, following a line connecting the two global fashion capitals, echoes of New York’s signature minimalism made of essential lines, graphic color combinations and an ultra-cool attitude meet a Parisian allure focused on special details and volumes that wink with irony at the world of haute couture. A classic of the Ville Lumière’s iconic style, the houndstooth, is rendered with digital printing on fluid shirts, trousers or wrap dresses, or becomes a jacquard motif on elongated jackets or fringed knitted skirts. The sleek and minimal look of the leather jackets matched with cigarette pants creates an intriguing contrast with the balloon volumes or with the maxi ruffle details of minidresses splashed with a zebra pattern, that also becomes the distinctive element of the intarsia down jackets.

Cavalli's heritage in the world of prints is celebrated with a photographic rendering of a brocade patchwork enriching blazers, mini skirts and dresses, while a jeans motif and an animalier pattern are mixed on the denim-effect garments. Sourced from the archives, a jewel print also inspires the precious but ironic details of the see-through sweaters and lingerie-effect trompe-l'oeil tops. Floral prints embellish the leather garments. A furry touch gives three-dimensionality to the textures of cardigans and animalier twin sets, while lace highlights the collection’s seductive femininity. A logomania pattern pops up in micro and macro versions and, at the same time, cut-outs give a seductive graphic vibe to the chenille knitted garments. In line with the collection's early 2000 inspiration, the logo stands out in the accessories range, including belts with metal buckles and bags, including a moon style and a mini hob, available in both solid colors, vibrant tones or animal prints. Chenille pumps, sling-backs with laces to wrap around the ankle and boots reveal sharp toes, while mules show squared silhouettes.

A Made in America spirit defines the men's collection, where the mood and the volumes become cool and relaxed. Cozy eco-fur coats, which also reveal patterns recalling the spotted coat of Appaloosa horses, are juxtaposed to urban bomber jackets with tiger quilting. Bleach effects characterize fluid velvet, while denim prints appear on the sweatshirts. Houndstooth becomes psychedelic on the jacquard knitwear, while leather garments with a rock 'n' roll vibe show eye-catching motifs. Detachable elements give the garments versatility. Patchwork details introduce an eclectic touch to the pieces with distressed finishing, while the logo adds a distinctive feel to the collection. Printed combat boots with contrasting laces and derbies crafted from stretch materials underline the urban inspiration of the men's proposal.

A new selection of unisex sneakers inspired by outdoor running complete the collection. Featuring a transparent gel sole, they sport an aerodynamic swoosh in a palette that includes combinations of black and flame red, white and gold, but also versions sprayed with silver and gold paint.
