Just Cavalli Presents Its New Pre-Fall Collection 22 Womenswear And Menswear
Luxferity, 23.11.2021
For the Pre-Fall 2022 season, Just Cavalli deep dives into a fascinating and multifaceted world, where a languid Californian atmosphere meets a cowboy spirit and grunge touches, echoing Seattle’s music scene in the 90s.
In the women's collection, a new desire for lightness and fun emerges. Weights are transitional, retaining the warmth of an endless summer. The brand's archive serves as a source of inspiration for a series of prints with a feline touch. Paisley motifs are mixed with leopard spots on a fluid slip dress; a jaguar pattern is printed on a mannish suit, while it becomes the jacquard motif of a knitted crop cardigan worn with a coordinated pencil skirt. In keeping with the brand's DNA, denim steals the show, embellished with a series of special treatments. Denim fabrics with different washes are assembled on patchwork pieces, including trousers, pea coats and mini dresses, embellished with studded details. At the same time, archival five-pocket pants featuring floral motifs and embroideries are photographed and printed on white bull for new denim pants with 3D effects. The focus is on the female body with mini lengths and off-the-shoulder necklines defining cocktail dresses, some of them showing origami-style details. Just Cavalli’s night owls come dressed in soft draped fil coupe or devore velvet frocks, or they are wrapped in maxi knitted dresses with lace effects. Over-the-knee boots with chunky heels exalt the sensual femininity of the collection, which also features mules and sandals enriched with feathers or studs, while a more leisure spirit is celebrated with ultra comfortable and super cool clogs with maxi metal buckles.
The same Made in USA spirit defines the look of the men's collection. Taking inspiration from the legendary West Coast hip-hop icons, a workwear and military spirit meets Just Cavalli’s feline aesthetic on combat shirts and cargo pants where allover graphic leopard motifs create a camouflage effect. The casual look of patchwork denim finds space next to the grunge attitude of maxi knitted cardigans, but also to the sartorial elegance with a contemporary mood of jaguar printed suits or impeccable double-breasted jackets with graphic details. The classic varsity look inspires bomber jackets enriched with vintage prints reminiscent of Californian flea markets, while the cowboy aesthetic returns in a faux leather shirt paired with coordinated trousers and a belt with rodeo-style maxi buckle. Digital prints enrich the sweatshirt garments, while the classic striped shirts are revisited for a young and fresh vibe. Military boots, cowboy-style ankle boots and clogs complete the collection, in the name of urban versatility.
