Nudo’s 20th Anniversary Party: A Magical Milanese Affair
Luxferity, 24.09.2021
Bright with Milanese inspiration, Nudo’s 20th Anniversary Party was held during Milan Fashion Week last night, celebrating the birthday of Pomellato’s most iconic jewel with a fittingly colorful and festive soirée. Hosted in Milan’s historic Galleria Meravigli, amidst the elegance of sweeping glass ceilings and mosaic frieze floors, guests were invited to experience touches of Milan’s lifestyle, flavors and luxuries, splashed with bursts of Nudo gemstone color for an unforgettable night.
As Pomellato’s most recognizable jewel, Nudo is known for its ‘no prong’ gemstone that continues to evolve in a rainbow of colors. First crafted in 2001, Nudo’s audacious design became an instant sensation, encouraging a woman to express her uniqueness with the choice of her Nudo jewels. Stackable, precious and bold, Nudo gems are handcrafted by the in-house artisans at Casa Pomellato in Milan.
Pomellato Group CEO Sabina Belli and Pomellato Creative Director Vincenzo Castaldo together with Stéphane Gerschel, Pomellato Brand Managing Director welcomed guests as well as the ‘Nudo Squadra’: 20 talents including American actress & singer Kat Graham, Turkish singer Hadise, Princess Matilde Borromeo, Italian actress Cristiana Capotondi, digital influencers such as Leonie Hanne, Beatrice Vendramin, Camille Charrière, Nataly Osmann, Alex Rivière, Viky Rader, Deborah Reiner Sebag, Bettina Looney, Niki Wu, Ulap, Ellie Delphine, Kelly Weekers, model Didi Stone, and socialites like the Manners sisters, and Viola and Vera Arrivabene, women who represent the Nudo universe as well as Pomellato’s values for inclusivity, diversity, women empowerment, and unified sisterhood.
The ‘Quintessentially Milanese’ party exposed its guests to the lifestyle, food, drinks of Pomellato’s home city, diving them into the heart of the jeweler’s roots and inspiration. Sipping on Milanese cocktails such as Negroni Sbagliato and Spritz, the guests began the night with aperitivo and a live performance of Musicanti di San Crispino, later moving on to the dance floor to enjoy Graziano Della Nebbia. All evening long, Milan’s culture was richly celebrated. One popular corner featured a tribute to Milan’s il fioraio (the ‘flower stalls’) where invitees could create their personalized bouquet of color – not unlike creating one’s own Nudo gemstone combination. In a tribute to the newspaper stands of the city, l’edicola acted as a photo booth and a rendezvous point for guests to meet and pose for a nice picture. Delicacies were served all evening including the panzerotti of Luini, specialties from Peck, sweet treats from Galli and Pasticceria Grecchi. To end the night with a sweet note, il carretto dei gelati (‘gelato cart’) handed out vintage flavors of gelati cups. To immerse the guests with most incredible Milanese experiences, guests were treated to their fortunes told by la cartomante (the ‘tarot card reader’) and to their portraits drawn by two artisti di Brera (‘Brera artists’). Most resplendently, Pomellato’s friends enjoyed viewing an artigianalità Milanese (Milanese goldsmith artisan) handcrafting Pomellato jewels live on site into the masterful creations that render the brand world famous.
Happy birthday, Nudo!
