Le Damier de Louis Vuitton captures the iconic, strong identity of the Maison’s historic Damier pattern – now expressed in a collection of modern and tactile jewels that radiate with the same magnetic touch of infinity.

In 1888, Louis Vuitton and his son Georges Vuitton set out to create a clear and distinctive marker of Louis Vuitton – a seal that would differentiate the Maison from the competition. Inspired by its birth year and notably the three number eights, the Damier pattern expressed notions of infinity and limitless eternity. Adorning trunks and luggage, Damier became a strong symbol of originality and authenticity, key codes that have anchored its longstanding evolution. Today, more than a century on, Damier continues to transcend time.
The iconic pattern now welcomes a fresh new expression in Fine Jewelry. Available in either yellow or white gold, the design features gold squares and diamond that reinterpret Damier’s

A reinterpreted tennis bracelet
The new bracelet takes it cue from the original tennis bracelet’s casual luxury. “I thought about the classic tennis bracelet – always in motion and always on your wrist,” says Amfitheatrof. Amfitheatrof was inspired by the legendary tale of the jewel’s namesake, when a match during the 1978 US Open had to be stopped after a player lost her diamond bracelet – the game resuming only after the jewel was safely retrieved.
Gentle and soft, the bracelet stylishly represents a match between the Maison’s legacy and the reinterpretation of a classic, set in a timeless and cool, unmistakable Louis Vuitton design.
