Kiton X Cassina: Masterful Design Meets Sartorial Elegance
A limited edition of the 3 Fauteuil Grand Confort, grand modèle, durable, the iconic armchair designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand, is reimagined with exclusive Kiton fabrics in a new collaboration between Cassina and Kiton.
This exclusive edition arises from the meeting of two Italian excellences: Cassina, which blends heritage, research, and innovation to create eclectic and harmonious atmospheres, and Kiton, renowned for crafting one-of-a-kind garments where quality and attention to detail are fundamental values.
n-42 Titanium Legacy On Block Bracelet
Launched on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Le Corbusier®, Pierre Jeanneret® and Charlotte Perriand® Collection edited by Cassina, this version is inspired by the models designed in 1928 for Villa Church, a residence near Paris designed by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. For this project, together with Charlotte Perriand, the architects conducted in-depth research into the use of color, exploring chromatic pairings that would enhance the interaction between furniture, space, and user.
In the version created with Kiton, the pairing of blue and burgundy results in two bi-color variants of the armchair, emphasizing the dialogue between form, finish, and environment. This color choice reflects the design approach of Le Corbusier, Perriand, and Jeanneret, for whom color was essential to defining spatial harmony. In addition to being an architect, Le Corbusier was also a painter who carefully studied color combinations to achieve visual balance — a pursuit shared and applied to furniture design with Perriand and Jeanneret. In 1978, Charlotte Perriand continued this research for Cassina, introducing the first colored editions to the Cassina iMaestri Collection. Over the years, Cassina has continued to develop this vision, in collaboration with the Fondation Le Corbusier and the co-authors' heirs.
Midnight Blue Premier Handbag
This special edition reinterprets the iconic armchair with an exclusive cashmere velvet touch upholstery, crafted at Kiton’s Biella-based wool mill using fibers sourced from the finest Mongolian farms. Selected for their purity and quality, the fibers measure 16.5–17 microns in fineness and 35–38 mm in length—characteristics that ensure exceptional softness and durability. After an initial washing phase, the fibers are processed using a traditional carded spinning system in a small artisanal workshop in Biella. This method preserves the natural structure of the cashmere, resulting in an even, soft yarn. The yarn is then woven into a fabric with a compact structure and a natural velvet effect.
The tubular metal frame of the armchair features a new glossy blue finish; the cushion padding and seat are made from recycled fiber, while the foamed elements contain a percentage of bio-based polyurethane. This choice reflects Cassina’s broader research and development journey focused on identifying and adopting alternative materials with the aim of moving towards an increasingly sustainable process.
Plissé - Ivory
Offered in two bi-color versions—blue and burgundy—the Kiton x Cassina armchair is available in a limited edition of 120 pieces, evenly split between the two colorways.
The collaboration with Cassina marks a key moment for Kiton, fueling the development of its home collection. Backed by a heritage of exceptional tailoring and continuous research into material quality, the Arzano-based company is preparing to expand its offering with a new approach to home design—merging the timeless elegance of its fabrics with a vision of contemporary living.
