Iconic figures such as author and bon vivant Truman Capote, who famously hosted the Black and White Masquerade Ball at the Plaza Hotel in 1966, are emblematic of this legacy. The event, renowned for its guestlist of aristocrats, scholars and stars, is also remembered for Capote’s elegant tuxedo, expertly crafted by dunhill.
