Church’s unveils its Spring-Summer 2025 campaign starring the actor Theo James. Church’s invites the world to step into a narrative where over 150 years of Northampton artisanal mastery meets modern performance, as the campaign’s brand ambassador Theo James embodies the timeless essence of the Church’s gentleman.

‘Stage Craft’ is the name of the campaign where Theo James captured in classic portrait style by Phil Poynter with creative direction by David James commands a rehearsal studio stage, crafting a one-man play about the resolute and refined Englishmen who define Church’s world. Adopting personas inspired by iconic styles - from the sleek Chetwynd Contour brogue to the versatile Maesteg penny loafer – Theo James, star of The White Lotus, The Gentlemen, and most recently, The Monkey, brings each to life with distinct mannerisms and theatrical poise.

The Spring-Summer 2025 collection could be summarized in three distinct releases, each a manifesto to Church’s mastery of form and function:

  • Loafers and Chetwynd Contour – The season opens with timeless elegance. The Milton loafer, reimagined from an archival design, features a slim silhouette in soft suede with a hand-stitched pinched apron and Blake construction for flexibility. The Maesteg, born from slippers made for King George VI, offers unlined calfskin and an Adler apron-toe seam, a subtle nod to English style. The Pembrey, crafted on the 126 last from bookbinder leather with a fumé finish, boasts a gimped tongue and double-stitched apron for slip-on sophistication. The Chetwynd Contour evolves the lightweight brogued Oxford with high-frequency technology, welding leather into embossed designs that blend durability with modern flair.
  • Coastland – Inspired by rugged shores, the Portsmouth reimagines the penny loafer as a modernist icon. Its sophisticated, convention-free design pairs a commanding presence with a sportswear-inspired flexible rubber sole, presented in debonair soft suede.
  • Sandals and Sneakers – Closing the season, Church’s redefines warm-weather elegance. New leather-soled sandals range from a sophisticated woven slide to the classic Nevada leather Fishermans. The Road sneaker, crafted from soft Nappa leather with stitching, draws retro inspiration from Wimbledon’s Church Road. For women, the iconic Kelsey sandal joins a leather woven style with studded metal details, available as an open slide or with a heel strap.
