Alexander McQueen: Romantic Muse

For Autumn/ Winter 2020, exploded poet-sleeved dresses in tiers of gathered cotton silk faille with a draped bow back are inspired by the romantic muse of a Dylan Thomas poem. A silk taffeta and organza dégradé dress in an entwined love heart fil coupé jacquard and a red silk and black metallic dress with black tulle and crinoline underskirts are inspired by seventeenth century love letters, graphic medieval decoration and Welsh love spoons.
