Swarovski Celebrates Craftsmanship and Glamour with its Fall/Winter 2020 Collection
Luxferity, 02.07.2020
This year, Swarovski celebrates 125 years of refined craftsmanship, creating jewelry and accessories that empower people around the world to look and feel glamorous, while expressing their own unique style.
Building on its rich history, the Swarovski Fall/Winter 2020 (FW20) Collection tells the stories of two defining moments in the brand’s 125-year history, interlinked by the ever-present power of glamour. Fall seeks inspiration from the vibrant glamour and creativity of the 1970s, when Swarovski created its first crystal products, while Holiday is a nod to the refined royal glamour of 1895, the year Swarovski was born.
Embodying the brand’s innovative spirit, the FW20 Collection is a creative expression of Swarovski’s inherent craftsmanship, crystal expertise and cutting-edge techniques.
FW20 COLLECTION HIGHLIGHTS
FALL – Inspired by the vibrant glamour of the 1970s
For the Fall Collection, Swarovski has explored its archives to reinterpret iconic pieces from the past, as well as to design new, on-trend pieces. Influenced by the 1970s, Swarovski seeks to empower people with a collection designed to encourage the self-expression and originality associated with this decade. This era also marked an important turning point for Swarovski; when the brand introduced its first crystal figurine in 1976, it kick-started a new product-focused era that led to the creation of its first jewelry collections. Throughout the Fall Collection, versatile earth tones meet vibrant pops of color, while bold silhouettes are infused with refined Swarovski crystal detailing.
Twist
Representing a literal “twist” on Swarovski’s previous Spiral family, the new Twist Collection is a timeless interpretation of the spiral trend. Elegant and modern, its intertwined shapes create the impression of stunning optical illusions, perfect for a glamorous day-to-night style.
How to style: Brighten up any outfit with the classic necklace combined with the elaborate twist ring to add extra sparkle to your look.
The Elemnts
- Fire – passionate
- Water – dreamer
- Air – imaginative
- Earth – loyal
Throughout The Elements Collection, Swarovski associates a zodiac sign with the energy of a natural element. Inspired by the natural forces that empower individuals around the world, each piece is designed to give an insight into the wearer’s personality and character traits:
Feminine, easy-to-wear silhouettes, such as the versatile necklace, feature the Pointiage® technique in earth toned crystal alongside pearls for an on-trend look. The Elements can be removed and personalised for multiple ways of wearing.
How to style: Pair the necklace with earrings from The Elements Collection for a modern statement.
Theatrical
The Theatrical Collection captures the exotic energy of the 1970s, taking inspiration from the geometric styles, rich colours and meaningful symbols which are representative of the era. Each piece in the Collection makes a statement, bringing to life the vibrancy and elegance of the decade through feminine yet bold silhouettes.
How to style: Wear the necklace alone for an on-trend daytime look, or pair it with matching earrings from the Collection for a standout evening style.
HOLIDAY – Inspired by the refined royal glamour of 1895
In the Holiday Collection, Swarovski dials up a sense of royal glamour with a sparkling modern twist. At the time of Swarovski’s birth, royals used jewelry as an expression of elegance and in this new Collection, opulent embellishments are combined with a rich color palette of golden tones, emerald green, ruby red and, of course, Swarovski’s iconic blue. Mixed Swarovski crystal cuts, showcasing the Pointiage® technique and pavé embellishment, and baroque-inspired Swarovski pearls enrich the refined, high-shine appeal of the Collection, designed to impress with its high-octane glamour.
Tennis Deluxe
Swarovski’s Tennis Deluxe Collection introduces new pieces which showcase a modern twist to the classic Tennis design. Whether pieces are worn every day with an on-trend, stylish edge or as a more elaborate statement, the new silhouettes are perfectly placed to catch the light with true brilliance.
How to style: Opt for the Tennis earrings to glam up a casual, every day look.
Swarovski Sparkling Dance Collection
Swarovski gives the royal treatment to one of its iconic collections for the holiday season. New additions brilliantly capture the signature movement of the Collection, with dynamic and opulent embellishments creating a sparkling look for the season.
How to style: Dial up your evening glam with the standout, three-tiered necklace, paired with the matching bracelet or earrings.
The Royals
These standout styles encapsulate the essence of royal glamour, while also showcasing the innate mastery and heritage of Swarovski. Rich, bold and unique combinations of stacked Swarovski crystal colors create a high-impact look. The Royals take inspiration from the brand’s Statement Transcendent Collection.
How to style: Wear the hexagonal-cut emerald green hoop earrings to enhance any outfit with an elegant sweep of color.
