Vhernier creates by drawing inspiration from the pure forms of modern sculpture: Constantin Brâncuși, Barbara Hepworth, Max Bill are some of the sculptors it looks at, for its bold and essential jewelry. It is also inspired by the body, with its volumes and movements.
