Saint Laurent Launches Its New Summer 2025 Campaign By Francesco Clemente

For its Summer 2025 campaign, Saint Laurent commissioned the renowned artist Francesco Clemente to create a series of portraits, capturing the essence of actors Zoë Kravitz and Isabella Ferrari, as well as models Penelope Ternes and Ajus Samuel. Through his poetic brushstrokes, Clemente transforms them into symbolic figures, each exuding a quiet strength and an intimate command of their femininity. Anthony Vaccarello was drawn to Clemente’s deeply expressive approach, recognizing in his layered use of color a perfect harmony with the spirit of the season’s collection.

Since the 1970s, Clemente’s art has been shaped by his journeys across diverse cultures, each experience leaving a subtle imprint on his practice. After settling in New York in the 1980s, his evocative paintings—often exploring the fluidity of identity between the spiritual and material, the feminine and masculine—played a vital role in reaffirming painting as a powerful and relevant medium. His creative path has been enriched by collaborations with visionary artists such as Andy Warhol and poet Allen Ginsberg, as well as filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón in his 1993 adaptation of Great Expectations.
