The Swiss Connection - Jérémy Desplanches Visits OMEGA On Swiss National Day

There was no missing the famous white cross on red field when Swiss swimmer and friend of OMEGA Jérémy Desplanches enjoyed a taste of home in Tokyo. The proudly Swiss brand hosted its local hero at the Official Timekeeper’s Showcasing in Tokyo on the most patriotic day of the year.

Jérémy Desplanches won bronze in the 200m Individual Medley, his first medal at the Olympic Games, Switzerland’s first swimming medal at Tokyo 2020 and a new Swiss record. 1 minute 56 seconds of maximum effort, the young athlete described as “the best time of my life – an incredible moment”.

An ambassador for OMEGA since 2020, Jérémy was a member of the Swiss Team at the Olympics Games in Rio and claimed a gold medal at the 2018 European Championships.

During the visit, the Olympic medallist wore his OMEGA Seamaster Professional Co-Axial Master Chronometer Diver 300M in steel with white ceramic dial and black ceramic bezel, fixed to the wrist with a Swiss flag-inspired NATO strap in red and white.
