Louis Vuitton unveiled the Tambour watch campaign starring House Ambassador Bradley Cooper.
Lensed in a series of portraits by Mario Sorrenti, with an accompanying campaign video by Damien Chazelle, Bradley Cooper embodies a new chapter of Louis Vuitton watchmaking set forth via the exceptionally reimagined Tambour. Revealed in July 2023 - twenty-one years after the launch of the original Tambour design - this new expression with its elegant, sleek lines transcends aesthetic into purpose and design. It is explored in this latest campaign for the Maison.
Shot against the backdrop of the Musée d’Orsay, Cooper is captured at once pensive yet resolute, his Tambour watch visible, a sense of time ever-present. For what or for whom is he waiting? The question is answered in the Chazelle-directed film which sees the encounter between Cooper and a woman, silhouetted against the backdrop of the museum’s grand mechanical clock. A sudden rewind in time transports the viewer to the story’s beginning and to the separate journeys that both will take before the serendipitous meeting. All an homage to the connection that time brings.
With the launch of the new Tambour, the campaign honours a milestone in Louis Vuitton’s watchmaking history. The new design speaks both to a modern morphology in a fully unisex form with a refined, slim case and a seamlessly integrated bracelet, and to advanced watchmaking expertise and finishings, showcased through the new LFT023 movement. The new Tambour is made possible by the savoir-faire of La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, the Maison’s watchmaking manufacture in Geneva.
