Celebrating their 20th anniversary, the Louis Vuitton Millionaires Sunglasses are reintroduced by their originator – and the House’s current Men’s Creative Director – Pharrell Williams.

In 2004, Williams made fashion history when he collaborated with Nigo and Louis Vuitton, then under the creative direction of Marc Jacobs, to produce the iconic Millionaires: a aviator silhouette embellished with Louis Vuitton signatures.

The sunglasses are reinforced along their straight brow with aged gold metal strips that are stamped in a repeating pattern with the symbols representing the Louis Vuitton Monogram. Echoing the house’s savoir-faire, enameled S-lock hinges add a vintage touch.

The Millionaires marked the first time Williams designed for the House, and their introduction made waves among the overlapping worlds of music and fashion. Two decades later, Williams has found himself at the helm of men’s ready-to-wear and accessories, with this pair of sunglasses partially to thank for it.

In observation of the achievement, the line is relaunched and revitalised under Williams’s direction, now in two frame shapes: one that closely reinterprets the original (the 1.0), and a carbon fiber model with sleek silver LV-engraved hinges and damier-patterned metal strips across its topside (the 3.0).
