F-80 Skeleton - Ferragamo's Iconic Watches Now Made With Responsible Materials
Luxferity, 27.04.2023
Among Ferragamo's best-selling watch collections, the F-80 Skeleton unveils an exclusive new look in line with the brand's vision of sustainability and its commitment to researching and using innovative materials with a low environmental impact.
Just a few months after the launch of the F-80 Skeleton with sustainable Strap, presented on the occasion of World Ocean Month 2022, Ferragamo proposes a further reinterpretation of the unisex model made from two responsible materials respectively modelled on the main components of the timepiece.
The 41 mm case is made of material composed of 60% ceramic powder from natural minerals and 40% nylon with 63% bio-based content from renewable sources. The strap is made of TPU with 39% bio-based content. The monochrome interpretation of the two models recalls the elements of nature, including Amaretto, inspired by the colours of the earth, and Navy Blue, evocative of the depths of the oceans. The two screws at 6 and 1 o'clock - the hallmark of all F-80s - are in IP Rose Gold.
The automatic movement - another aspect of a sustainable approach aimed at limiting energy consumption - is visible through the transparency of the caseback and the skeleton dial with its sunray finish, while the luminescent hands and indices add a touch of light to the solid colours.
The F-80 Skeleton automatic watches will be available from March 2023 in Ferragamo boutiques, on ferragamo.com and at a selection of authorised retailers.
