Exploring the timeless interplay of art, culture, and history across millennia, the series will spotlight how past traditions inspire and challenge today’s creative landscape.

A Distinguished Roster of Cultural Icons

The 2025 programme brings together an exceptional assembly of artists, curators, and cultural figures whose work has shaped the global art world. Highlights include:

  • Tracey Emin & Nicholas Cullinan – A dialogue between the renowned artist and the Director of the National Portrait Gallery.
  • Antony Gormley & Arturo Galansino – Examining the intersections of form, space, and human experience.
  • Glenn Brown & Arturo Galansino – A reflection on history and reinterpretation through painting.
  • Christopher Rothko & Carl Strehlke – Bridging modern legacies with Renaissance scholarship.
  • William Dalrymple & Susan Stronge – Exploring artistic exchange across cultures.

This distinguished line-up also includes Emilie Hammen, Elizabeth Way, Matthew Harle, and Edward George, ensuring conversations that span art, history, literature, and culture.

The Elegance of dunhill’s Lounge

As in previous years, the talks will unfold within the dunhill Lounge, a refined sanctuary at the heart of Frieze Masters. Designed in collaboration with Studio Boum, the space evokes quiet sophistication—a setting that encourages reflection, dialogue, and the intimacy of exchange amidst the vibrancy of the fair.

Andrew Holmes, dunhill CEO ad interim, remarked:

“We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with Frieze Masters, supporting this revered talks series. It is a partnership that celebrates exceptional voices in art and culture. We are delighted to welcome Arturo Galansino as curator this year, alongside an inspiring line-up of artists, curators, and historians for a compelling programme of illuminating conversations.”

Extending Conversations Globally

Opening on Monday, 13th October 2025 with an exclusive discussion between Emilie Hammen and Elizabeth Way—followed by a private dinner for invited guests—the series will continue throughout the week, with every conversation recorded and later released as a weekly podcast from November 2025.

This digital extension ensures that the Dunhill x Frieze Masters Talks transcend the fair itself, connecting a global luxury audience to the intellectual and cultural heartbeat of London.
