Time becomes infinitely more precious when Cartier jewellery elevates it. The hours shine, the minutes are suspended in the beauty of the stones and creativity takes over. From one watch to the next, New Zealand actress and Cartier Ambassador Anna Sawai embraces the elegance of watchmaking creations destined for the grandest of evenings. In the grandiose setting of a palace, she adds her personal touch with playful ease, affirming the strength of Cartier's style with both freedom and grace.

Cartier’s Precious Hours – When Watchmaking And Jewellery Unite

1. REFLECTION DE CARTIER

The result of Cartier’s research on shapes, the Reflection de Cartier watch is an open bracelet whose design combines openwork and mirror-polished gold, elongated lines and precise angles. This tension culminates as a delicate dial meets its reflection, where time is read backwards. The watch in white gold explores material through its combinations of pavé motifs and settings - snow or inverted. For the second creation, Cartier ventures into the world of High Jewellery, where stones create vibrant chromatic harmonies. The result is a colourful version that pays tribute to Louis Cartier’s ‘peacock décor’, a harmony of blue and green, surrounded here by chiselled gold.

2. CARTIER FINE JEWELLERY WATCHES

DOUBLE ROW

Diamond everything. That’s the spirit of this radiant, geometric watch with its fully articulated bracelet. The material comes to life on the snow-set octagonal pavé dial. The sapphire crystal is cut with nine facets, just like a stone. Cartier has integrated rose-cut diamonds where the lugs join the dial. Contrasting with the light of the brilliant-cut diamonds, their soft, subtle radiance brings a poetic touch to the piece. The only contrasting detail is the onyx index. This watch needed 45 hours of jewellery craftsmanship and 35 hours of gem-setting.

ART DECO AT CARTIER

This watch with Art Deco touches has been crafted using a multitude of precious details. First, there’s the octagonal case which fits a square dial topped with a faceted sapphire crystal; then there’s the vibrant appearance of the silvered sunray-brushed dial. On the diamond version, the bracelet, which is supple like a chain, is made up of a line of geometric motifs in two different settings: a triangular grain setting and a cut down setting. The second version, combining diamonds, onyx and emeralds, explores a signature chromatic trio for Cartier. 33 hours were devoted to the jewellery craftsmanship and gem-setting.

3. THE PRECIOUS VARIATIONS OF THE BAIGNOIRE

AN INTERPLAY OF RADIANCE AND LIGHT

Capable of reinventing itself, the new Baignoire watch celebrates a line of diamonds which divides to adorn the case. The snow setting on the dial lends an intense, dynamic vibrancy to the brilliance of these stones in varying cuts. This radiant wave continues on the wrist, in two parallel lines paved with stones of different sizes.

AN ENHANCED AESTHETIC

The Baignoire's ability to transform is demonstrated in these two creations. What do they have in common? A large design, a paved and articulated bangle bracelet and a dial paved with snow-set diamonds that reflect the light. In all other respects, they are very different. The first, crafted after 160 hours of work, is composed of 351 gems whose brilliance is amplified by their cut down setting. The bracelet's lugs are paved with two triangle-shaped diamonds. On the second, the sapphires, aquamarines and spessartite garnets create a unique harmony between the warm and cold colours.
