Prada Mode in Paris
Luxferity, 22.01.2020
Prada presented the fourth iteration of Prada Mode, a travelling social club with a focus on contemporary culture that provides members a unique cultural experience along with music, dining, and conversations.
On January 19th and January 20th, on the occasion of Paris Haute Couture, Prada Mode Paris occupied Maxim’s, the legendary 1893 Belle Époque restaurant. For Prada Mode Paris, the iconic location has been transformed by AI researcher and professor Kate Crawford and artist and researcher Trevor Paglen into an installation titled “Making Faces” which includes art projects and architectural modifications focusing on data gathering, surveillance and facial recognition.
The days were animated by debates, site-specific artworks, parties, featuring exhilarating performances and live music. The chef Bertrand Grébaut of the renowned starred restaurant Septime curated the food experience for the entire two-day event.
