With this premise, Ornare—renowned for its bespoke furniture and deep connection with art—returns to Milan Design Week, the world’s largest design event, from April 7 to 13, 2025. At its showroom on Via Manzoni 30, in Palazzo Gallarati, Ornare presents the Nimbo installation, created by the Milan-based studio Parasite 2.0, alongside new artistic collaborations as part of the Art All Around.

Nimbo: A Landscape in Motion

Inspired by the relationship between light and atmosphere, Nimbo creates a dynamic landscape. At the center of the installation, a luminous circle evokes the sun, radiating light that interacts with an iridescent, ethereal fabric, generating visual effects that mimic the materiality of the sky. As the day progresses, the installation transforms: light reflects and disperses, colors shift, and the perception of space changes according to the movement and gaze of visitors—an invitation to immerse in the continuous rhythm of time.

"We believe that design is a powerful form of expression and connection. We aim to strengthen our dialogue with art, creating experiences that engage and inspire our clients and partners," says Esther Schattan, co-founder and director of Ornare.

Launched in 2024, Art All Around returns to Milan for its second edition, curated by Marina Conde. This initiative transforms Ornare’s showrooms into immersive spaces where furniture design and art converge. Among the featured works are pieces from Galleria Fumagalli Milano and creations by Brazilian artist Lara Matana, who explores abstract forms using delicate sheets of Ornare’s premium wood.

In addition to Lara Matana, the showroom will showcase works by Italian artists Luca Boffi, Mattia Bosco, Thorsten Brinkmann, Anne and Patrick Poirier and Maria Elisabetta Novello, renowned for their research into materials and forms that engage in dialogue with their surroundings.

Ornare’s participation in Milan Design Week reinforces its presence on the global stage, offering experiences at the heart of design, where art, installations, and creative research come together to shape new narratives.

"Our goal is to be increasingly present in people’s lives, whether through our products or through experiences that connect our values with the needs of our clients," says Murillo Schattan, co-founder of Ornare.

Ornare’s relationship with Milan has grown stronger since the opening of its showroom in the Quadrilatero della Moda, solidified by years of participation in Salone del Mobile and nearly four decades of collaboration with suppliers and clients worldwide. A special mention at the LIT Awards—recognizing the lighting design of the showroom developed by We Light—was another highlight this year With a program that includes exclusive gatherings, events, and the unveiling of new artworks, Ornare reaffirms its presence at Milan Design Week 2025, seamlessly connecting design and art.
