Montblanc launches its 2021 brand campaign - WHAT MOVES YOU, MAKES YOU – featuring Chen Kun, Montblanc’s Global Mark Maker, wearing the new iconic Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Limited Edition 1858. The campaign continues to encourage people to keep challenging themselves and break boundaries, by articulating Montblanc’s brand belief that everyone can leave a mark.

In the Campaign, Chen Kun is seen sporting the Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Limited Edition 1858. Inspired by the explorations of legendary mountaineer Reinhold Messner, the new Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Limited Edition 1858 pays tribute to his five-week solo trek across the Gobi desert in 2004. The case back unveils a unique engraving that shows the Gobi Desert’s famous Flaming Cliffs, also known as Bayanzag, that were on Messner’s route across Northern Asia. Made of titanium, the decoration is engraved and polished by laser. The vivid colours are created with laser-generated oxidation, with the level oxidation determining the final colour obtained (and desired). Montblanc is one of the few Maisons making using this technology on such a large surface.
