Somewhere between a science experiment, a soccer game, and a dream scribbled in the margins of a math notebook, Colm Dillane stages his most poetic KidSuper show to date: “The Boy Who Jumped the Moon.”

Tonight, at the Louvre, under the fantastical ceilings of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Colm Dillane invites his guests to leap headfirst into the absurd, the poetic, and the wonderfully improbable. His latest KidSuper experiment, titled The Boy Who Jumped the Moon, is an art illustrated parable—one stitched in fabric, childhood ambition, and fearless imagination.

Inspired by the curious optimism of youth and the elegant naiveté of those who dare to dream too big, Dillane spins a narrative of cosmic proportions. “When you’re little, you think everything is possible,” he said. “You try things without knowing if you’ll succeed—and even when you fail, you’re still in the air for a second.”

This season’s collection captures that fleeting second. From lunar-print tailoring to silhouettes that seem caught midflight, The Boy Who Jumped the Moon explores what it means to try—even when you’re unsure you’ll land. There are nods to vintage school uniforms, bedtime story color palettes, and characters that feel plucked from a dream halfway between Paris and Saturn.

True to Dillane’s ethos, the garments are only part of the story. The show is a complete world: staged, cinematic, and a touch surreal. It recalls the earnest bravery of storybook heroes—those who ask big questions, chase strange stars, and occasionally end up in places adults would call impossible.

For Colm Dillane, collaboration isn’t just a strategy—it’s the lifeblood of KidSuper. And this season, it takes on another shape. In a show that plays with the lines between storytelling, fashion, engineering, and pure make-believe, Dillane introduces a two-part collaboration with Mercedes-Benz as part of the Class of Creators.

The centerpiece? A car that looks like it drove straight out of a graphic novel and into a fever dream. Dillane reimagines the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA as a superhero on wheels—a one-of-a-kind art piece with turbine wings, balloon flourishes, a front-mounted winch, a rally-style roof rack, and a handmade slingshot from his childhood reimagined in chrome. There’s even a stitched homage to KidSuper’s “Kissing Face,” because even cars deserve a little romance. The vehicle is at once nostalgic and fantastical—equal parts Hot Wheels and Batmobile.

From this wild creation came another: a limited-edition capsule of ready-to-wear and accessories. Equal parts garagefloor grit and gallery polish, the 13-piece collection pays tribute to the history of automotive invention—from mechanic jumpsuits to the ghost of the “Patent Motorwagen,” the world’s first automobile. It’s KidSuper tailoring through the lenstiof retro Americana, piston-powered daydreams, and just a touch of grease under the fingernails.

Elsewhere on the runway, Dillane nods to familiar faces and unexpected guests. Puma returns with a co-branded capsule collection launching in the fall, alongside bold new kits co-designed for the PUMA-sponsored teams at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Papa Johns enters the KidSuper universe. The brand teamed up with Dillane to craft a limited-edition hot bag in honor of their new Croissant Pizza - whether or not the French approve is another story! Less delivery gear, more traveling canvas, the KidSuper x Papa Johns hot bag is a sly nod to those who believe bold ideas belong absolutely everywhere.

KidSuper has always existed between fashion and fantasy, and this season, Colm Dillane reaffirms his belief in risk, reinvention, and radical sincerity. The show is a conversation—between artist and engineer, brand and partners, childhood and adulthood, the runway and the road. “I’ve always wanted to make a children’s book,”Dillane says. “This is kind of that—except the pages walk.” In this gentle manifesto, clothes speak, collabora4on dreams big, and somewhere between trying and falling, a boy just might touch the moon.
