CFCL: From Knitwear To Knit-Ware

In celebration of its 5th anniversary, CFCL will present the exhibition “CFCL: From Knitwear to Knit-ware” at GYRE GALLERY in Omotesando, Tokyo, from Sunday, March 23, to Monday, April 28, 2025.
This exhibition explores CFCL’s ongoing journey through 3D computer-aided knitting, a core element of the brand, from four different perspectives.
It will feature knitwear pieces created by CFCL Founder & Creative Director Yusuke Takahashi during his student years and an immersive dual-screen video installation showcasing the intricate production process from raw materials to finished garments. Also featured is documentary footage of the latest collection’s item development process, various knit fabric samples, and a portraiture project by photographer Mikio Hasui, which has continued since the brand’s inception, accompanied by stories of encounters with the subjects.
Through CFCL’s vision of Knit-ware as a functional tool for contemporary life, the exhibition traces the brand’s journey - from its origins to the latest collection.

With thanks to the support of Tokyo Creative Salon (TCS), an annual celebration of creativity held in Tokyo every March, CFCL presents two special installations that embody the brand's innovation and craftsmanship. At Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, from Thursday, March 13, to Friday, March 21, CFCL will present "POTTERY LUCENT DRESSES”- a striking installation showcasing CFCL's iconic dress, reimagined as an extraordinary 9-meter-long artwork.
In addition, "5 Years Lookbook by Kazumi Kurigami" will be unveiled at Shibuya Station from Monday, March 17, to Sunday, March 30. This collection of photographs, taken by Kazumi Kurigami, showcases the best looks from the VOL.1 to VOL.10 collections, spanning CFCL's five-year history.
To commemorate this anniversary, exclusive items from the signature POTTERY range will be available at CFCL direct stores and the online store.
