Olfactory Creation: The art of perfume
At the heart of the Maison, the art of olfactory creation is a sacred ritual. Its creator, Tiphaine Cogez Cousseau, who trained alongside the greatest perfumers and fashion designers, composes olfactory symphonies that capture deep emotions and timeless memories. Each fragrance is an olfactory sketch, a theatrical scene where every note reveals a part of the soul. Inspired by nature, art and culture, she weaves connections of love and nature, marrying traditional natural ingredients with modern accords from green chemistry, offering unprecedented and unforgettable olfactory experiences.
Industrial Innovations: Sustainability and excellence
Its commitment to innovation is reflected in the adoption of advanced industrial technologies and sustainable practices. BRUME ORPIN uses local and biodegradable raw perfume materials.
Favouring minimal environmental impact, its cork-expanded packaging, caps and papers are compostable, designed to be environmentally friendly while embodying a new kind of luxury.
Maison BRUME ORPIN is also a pioneer in using galalith and bio sourced Algo Paint made from French algae, illustrating its dedication to green innovation. The mass-coloured recycled glass bottle is refillable and engraved to avoid any addition of enamels or lacquers.

Creator's profile
Tiphaine Cogez Cousseau is the creator of BRUME ORPIN. She embodies a rare and unique vision in the world of perfume.
From a very young age, she distinguished herself with a fascination for fragrances, collecting samples at the age of five that were not mere objects to her, but gateways to inner worlds, evoking memories and dreams. This early passion led her to build a personal olfactory library, where each note became a unique imprint, and every fragrance, a cherished story.
At 19, Tiphaine naturally entered the world of perfume while completing her business studies. At Rochas, under the guidance of Olivier Theyskens, she orchestrated the international marketing
strategy. At Balmain, under the artistic direction of Christophe Decarnin, she launched Ambre Gris. In 2008, she joined Francis Kurkdjian, where she took the helm of the global marketing of the Maison, which she passionately supported for seven years.
Her years of collaboration with the Artistic Director of The World of Hermès sharpened her eye and sense of discipline. She carries with her the precision of the great Houses.
She meticulously masters every facet of perfumery—first and foremost, composition, but also marketing, graphic design, packaging engineering, product development, production and commercialization. She envisioned a new profession, one in harmony with her time, skills, ecological awareness and lifelong passion: Perfume Creator.
Under her guidance, creating a fragrance becomes an unrelenting quest for excellence, where nothing is left to chance. A mother of two, far from being distracted from her ambitions, she seized these precious moments to launch her business. Initially working as a bespoke perfume creator for brands and hotels, Tiphaine fulfilled her entrepreneurial desire before naturally returning to her true calling: creating a modern Fragrance House.
Rooted in her core values and driven by a desire to make a positive impact, she slowly shaped the contours of a more sustainable perfume house. Thus, BRUME ORPIN was born - a Maison revealed only to those capable of grasping the depth of its commitment.
Inflexible and visionary, Tiphaine focuses on craftsmanship, celebrating French savoir-faire. Under her keen eye, every detail is scrutinized, every component revisited. She imposes her vision with
unwavering rigor, orchestrating the creation of a universe where each element - from ingredient to bottle, from packaging to merchandising - is chosen with absolute precision.
From 2020, Tiphaine decided to fully commit to a personal approach: prioritizing healthy, local and impeccably high-quality ingredients. Without making the slightest compromise, she collaborates exclusively with artisans who share her relentless standards, together pushing the boundaries of what is possible. She embarked on a quest for more virtuous ingredients, convinced of the importance of reinventing perfume for future generations. Since then, she has been shaping in France the birth of an innovative fragrance line committed to respecting both health and the planet.
Accompanied by the finest French industrialists, they are together pushing the boundaries of innovation for BRUME ORPIN.
Her perfume creations for BRUME ORPIN redefine the codes of a healthier and more sustainable perfumery, with unprecedented standards.
Why Brume Orpin?
"I chose to name my Fragrance House BRUME ORPIN, as a tribute to cherished suspended moments.
BRUME is the misty atmosphere of dawn, delicate and diaphanous, gently enveloping the skin. ORPIN, the stonecrop plant I grew as a child in my grandmother's Alpine garden, thrives on rooftops and is resilient. To me, it symbolizes the quiet strength of our familial and friendly ties, those precious bonds that ground us in life.
BRUME ORPIN is not just a Haute Perfumery House; it is a sanctuary where I combine the art of perfume creation with respect for nature and tradition. Each fragrance is an invitation to rediscover these essential values: sharing, authenticity and transmission. Here, each scent is crafted with care, in respect of nature and the people who cultivate its ingredients.
I have shaped BRUME ORPIN as an ode to elegant simplicity, where every detail, every gesture and every material tells a story. A story of respect, commitment and timeless beauty. It is a House where we take the time to create, to remember and to celebrate what truly matters.
A space where perfume becomes a bridge between generations and the expression of our deepest nature. BRUME ORPIN is the art of respecting, honouring and preserving."

Exclusive sourcing
Local, healthy and biodegradable ingrediends
At the heart of Maison BRUME ORPIN, each fragrance is a vibrant tribute to nature and innovation. In Tiphaine Cogez Cousseau’s quest for olfactory perfection, the creator has embraced a deep commitment to natural, green chemistrybased, biodegradable ingredients, cultivated exclusively in France, Europe, and around the Mediterranean basin.
This choice is far more than a simple style statement; it embodies her vision for the future of perfumery, where luxury and responsibility blend harmoniously.
The nobility of natural ingredients
Eighteen months of research were necessary to create the exceptional palette that Tiphaine envisioned for her Fragrance House. Favoring natural ingredients grown in regions renowned for their richness and diversity, she deliberately localized her sourcing to have complete control over BRUME ORPIN’s carbon footprint. This pursuit of local growers aims to embody the richness of European and Mediterranean terroirs. This unique sourcing ensures ingredients of impeccable ethical quality, echoing BRUME ORPIN’s core values.
From Bulgarian or Moroccan rose to French wheat bran, each essence is cultivated with extreme care, using environmentally respectful extraction methods. The plants are hand-harvested at the peak of their fragrance to ensure exceptional quality. These natural ingredients are the cornerstone of her creations, bringing a unique depth to every fragrance.

Green chemistry: the perfume of tomorrow
Green chemistry plays a central role in Tiphaine Cogez Cousseau's creative approach. She relies on rigorous scientific principles to transform the art of perfumery. It is based on the design of products and chemical processes that reduce or eliminate the use and generation of hazardous substances. This innovative field of chemistry aims to minimize environmental impact while maximizing the efficiency of resources used. For over four years, Tiphaine has collaborated with the SYMRISE laboratory, which is highly advanced in this area. In her quest to enrich her olfactory palette, she uses green chemistry to recreate the complex and subtle scents found in nature through clean synthesis. These molecules are captives, created through biomimetic processes, where chemical reactions are inspired by natural biological mechanisms. By relying on green chemistry, she opens new avenues to limit allergens in her formulas while eliminating controversial ingredients.
Combining the art of perfumery with the science of green chemistry, Tiphaine creates fragrances that are both innovative and environmentally friendly, offering a pure olfactory experience inspired by nature and shaped by technology.
Materials book
Expanded cork
In its relentless pursuit of excellence, BRUME ORPIN turns to expanded cork, a noble and environmentally friendly material. In the heart of the century-old cork oak forests of Portugal, harvesters carefully remove the bark without harming the tree, allowing it to regenerate every 9 to 12 years. The harvested cork is then expanded through heat, fusing without any additives or glue to form a biodegradable, dense and durable material deeply rooted in modern times. A French workshop, recognized as a "Living Heritage Company," crafts and paints our precious cases. Their unique expertise enhances this material with a green algae-based paint, developed exclusively for BRUME ORPIN. This compostable material naturally deteriorates over time or can serve as a home for your treasured objects.
Like a monolith sculpted by time, this innovative material is a strong code of the Maison.

Bio-based paint from French Algae
In its quest for petrochemical-free materials to enhance its packaging, BRUME ORPIN turned to Algo Paint, a Breton company specializing in bio-based decorative paints, after discovering their innovations. From carefully harvested algae, dried and ground into a fine powder, a custom-made mixture is crafted. These locally grown algae, which absorb CO2 and replace toxic substances, are used by Algo Paint to create paint. These algae, capable of capturing 960 kg of CO2 per ton, require no fresh water, fertilizers, or pesticides for their cultivation.
Each litter of paint produced thanks to it allows you to save an average of 1.5 kg of CO2. The natural pigments of BRUME ORPIN's signature green shade are biobased, ensuring the biodegradability of the packaging.
Galalith or milk casein
Galalith, this material born from milk, tells a story of gentle alchemy where casein is transformed by the hands of the master craftsman. Extracted by the magic of coagulation, the casein is then combined with natural elements to give birth to a material of unparalleled hardness and brilliance. In a precise gesture, it is pressed, moulded and dried in Italy, before being machined and polished in the heart of the Jura, metamorphosing for BRUME ORPIN into mono-material caps that combine beauty, robustness and respect for the environment. Biodegradable, this material, both ancestral and modern, embodies sustainable luxury in its purest form.
Mass-tinted glass
The glassmaker Pochet, custodian of over four centuries of ancestral expertise, collaborates with BRUME ORPIN in the creation of a bottle that appears simple but whose technical execution is highly
complex, requiring more than two years of research and development. Chosen for its craftsmanship and mastery of glassmaking, Pochet pushed industrial boundaries to shape this timeless vessel.
The bottle’s glass is primarily made from sand from the Oise region and recycled glass collected from French households, before being mass-tinted to protect the perfumes from light. Carefully collected, sorted and crushed, the glass returns to its raw material state, ready to be transformed once more in an act of rebirth. In the intense heat of the furnace, the cullet melts and transforms, with metallic oxides adding their touch of colour, like a painter playing with their palette. The result is a green-tinted glass that captures the light, where each perfume tells a new story. It is a tribute to the art of glassmaking, where beauty and sustainability intertwine.
In this spirit, the bottles of the Maison are carefully engraved, avoiding any use of enamels or gilding films, thus preserving the purity of the glass.
Canson paper
Canson paper, a faithful companion to artists, draws its essence from predominantly European wood fibres, sourced from sustainably managed forests. Certified FSC, this paper guarantees a responsible and environmentally-friendly sourcing.
Manufactured in the Annonay factory in the Ardèche region, with a rich history of over 400 years, this paper is produced in compliance with the most demanding standards, on a site certified ISO 14001
and 45001. An optimized water resource management and an impeccable ethical approach, echo the commitment of the House. Ordered and produced on demand for BRUME ORPIN, this paper elegantly adorns the entire collection. In a blend with precise proportions, the wood fibers are dressed in a dazzling whiteness. A subtle metamorphosis, where the material becomes a virgin canvas with an unparalleled texture, ready to illustrate the DNA of BRUME ORPIN. This exceptional paper, printed just an hour away, gracefully and distinctively dresses every line of the collection for a perfect touch.

The bottle
A powerful code, an unprecedented form
Shaped by the hands of time, this greentinted bottle draws inspiration from the ancient amphora and the glass drop. Designed by Tiphaine Cogez Cousseau, the creator of the Maison, it carries a powerful symbol, a timeless code conceived to make BRUME ORPIN seem to have always existed.
Its lines of studied simplicity reveal a perfect harmony between past and present, where the green hue captures the light as a tribute to nature. Designed to last, this bottle is not just a design piece, it reflects the Maison's deep commitment to sustainability. Every detail, from its shape to its materials, has been carefully considered to minimize its environmental impact while preserving a precious and timeless elegance.
More than a bottle, it is a statement. Both modern and rooted in a centuriesold tradition, it embodies sustainability: refillable and designed to withstand the ages without becoming outdated. Tiphaine has ensured that every curve and angle convey a story of harmony between luxury and responsibility, of a brand that, rather than imposing itself, reveals what is essential, as if it had always been there.
With its subtle tone, perfect forms and controlled environmental impact, it becomes much more than a container: a lasting symbol, a quiet legacy that anchors BRUME ORPIN in timelessness, all while honouring the planet.
Act 1
Act for tomorrow

Act 1 of the Maison BRUME ORPIN embodies the launch collection, an invitation to discover a universe where each fragrance becomes a gesture, a tribute to nature and to those who celebrate it. More than a collection of perfumes, it is a way of acting, a way of sublimating beauty while honouring the environment with respect.

Anchored image
The image of BRUME ORPIN becomes the mirror of its commitment: that of a House that respects the material, that honors time, and that magnifies every detail. It is a tribute to the art of living, to the discreet and affirmed beauty, which, far from ephemeral fashions, is part of a continuity respectful of the essential.
The symbiosis of the nose and the gaze being essential for the creator of the House, she chooses to collaborate with Nathalie Baetens, a talented photographer, who knows how to capture the essence and the meaning. She brilliantly underscores the depth of the materials and reveals the nature of the inspirations of the collection.
This singular vision, both poetic and rigorous, finds its purest expression in this collaboration, distilling in each image the quintessence of the values of Tiphaine Cogez Cousseau. Through Nathalie's gaze, the visual heritage of the House comes to life, where each nuance, each texture evokes the delicacy and depth of the lands it cherishes.
The visuals are not just illustrations, but the very soul of BRUME ORPIN. They reflect Tiphaine's attachment to a beauty that does not fade, a beauty rooted in time, shaped by expert hands and passionate hearts. Each line, each colour, evokes the richness of the materials selected with care and the precision of the gestures that transform them.
It is this anchored vision, subtly modern, that the House wishes to share with those who wear its creations, offering a visual and olfactory experience that resonates deeply within the intimate.
