Alexander McQueen Creative Community - Week 2
Luxferity, 08.04.2020
Alexander McQueen announced that this week it will invite everybody to create a three dimensional flower using any material they can find in their own home.
Lee Alexander McQueen embedded the form and colour of flowers, real and imagined, into the making of the Sarabande collection. Elevated and couture-like, the show was McQueen at his most romantic — and it ended with the unforgettable finale of a corset-framed dress which he had filled with fresh hydrangeas and roses. The collection stemmed from a lyrical stream of consciousness about a ‘decadent and decaying grandeur’, which McQueen wanted to manifest against the backdrop of a ‘deserted theatre.’
